Scrub-a-dub-dub it’s time to time to talk about tubs…. And tile, wallpaper, fixtures, and art. All the things that make a baller bath and this one was extra fun to work on for a young family!
This space was your typical 70ish bath that needed a refresh for two boys to start and end their days in, and also serve guests well for a short stay. To pull double duty, we wanted this space to be fun and colorful for it’s main tenants but didn’t want it to feel so childlike that it wouldn’t grow with the boys or make guests feel at home. So, we tried to serve both needs with bold blue tile, a sketched check wallpaper that reads as minimal pattern to build on, abstract art to bring in color, blue cabinetry, hardware with clean lines and textiles that pull it all together.

If one blue bath weren't enough, mom and dad got one too and equally full of pattern and color. This space leans slightly more mature but evokes all the same feelings of fun.
A standard linen cabinet in each space didn’t serve a lot of purpose or offer the best storage, so along with our cabinet maker, we designed a built in option that filled the space and offered much more usable storage with drawers to take advantage of the depth.
Spaces that check all the boxes of function, form, and fun! You can also see the boy's space in print, in the August issue of Talk Magazine and get the look below!
