With today being the Mondayest of all Mondays we only thought it appropriate to drop about 5 days worth of color doses on the blog in hopes that it lifts all of our spirits! You may remember this kitchen that we posted after a long blog-hiatus or this papered powder room that is anything but dull, but little did you know there is a color / texture / pattern-filled living room to match!
Our clients’ 100+ year old tudor has fantastic ‘bones’ and they already had that killer rug so our jumping off point was pretty much like a SkyZone trampoline. First, we found that luxurious tufted sofa to anchor the room but it was high time for some bold personality -- enter the ‘Split Pea’ cabinets.
This room is a great example of mixing styles: Traditional, yet funky. Classic, yet eclectic. We took a vintage sideboard (Hello! Craigslist find!) mixed it with a modern bone-inlay coffee table, a pair of leather chairs for a touch of masculinity, and of course all the fabrics and art we could fit, including the massive, show-stopping Dorothy Shain and Gee Gee Collins pieces.

Man, oh man are we thankful for clients like these who let us brighten their homes room by room. So much so that we are dusting off our elf skirts to bring some Christmas cheer to this same room! Stay tuned over the next few weeks to see how it turns out!
